KING FOR A DAY

Four week drag king course that puts YOU on stage!

From persona development to makeup, costuming to choreography, working the stage and the audience- this course covers everything you need to know about your mansformation and provides guidance from professions working in the industry. The toughest part of breaking into the scene is
getting booked in your first professional show—DONE! Week four you will show off your new King persona on stage in a live show.

Weeks 1 & 2:
Two 2-hour classes covering everything you need to know (persona, what’s underneath,
costuming, make up, songs, working the stage)

Week 3:
Show off what you’ve been creating with a full dress rehearsal with tech on stage and receive
helpful guidance from a panel of professionals

Week 4: it’s show time!
You will perform in a show with a live audience. Work those tips and you could
make back what you paid for this course!

Jayden Jamison KA St. James is a Casanova from the jungles of Vietnam. He has been romancing the ladies, gents and nonbinary on stage for over 15 years. He is a former member of the Royal Renegades drag king troupe out of Columbus, OH and is also in the drag documentary Kings, Queens & In Betweens. He is Mistah Boston Pride 2017 and Mister Gay United States Male Illusionist 2016. This fall he is gearing up to perform at the Austin International Drag Festival.

Kristen Porter (event producer/promoter) began producing/hosting Drag King shows in 1999 and has worked with countless Kings and Troupes from around the world.
